A rare collection of antique automobiles, a San Francisco cable car and a New York City double decker bus are among the items on sale at an auction to be held Saturday, May 10 at the NASW Aviation Museum at the Cape May Airport, 500 Forrestal Road in Rio Grande, NJ.
The items on sale come from the estate of Dr. Ralph W. E. Cox, Jr., a former Cape May resident whose fascination with all things mechanical resulted in an extensive collection, including a number of early Ford automobiles, a 1943 Piper L4 Grasshopper and even a JB1 Buzz Bomb.
The items are on view May 9 from 9 am to 3 pm, with the auction the following day from 11 am. For a preview, go to www.bonhams.com/cox.
