Cape May County Postal Food Drive

Cape May County letter carriers will collect nonperishable food items for local food banks on Saturday, December 7.  

Among the items that should be left at the mailbox for pickup are canned meats, vegetables, fruit, tomatoes, pasta, soup, cereal, dry milk, juice, jelly, peanut butter, crackers and rice. Microwavable items also are needed, as well as laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper and paper towels.

Donations also can be dropped off at participating post offices throughout the county from 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, or at the Ocean City Food Cupboard, 501 E. 8th Street, Monday through Friday from 1-3 pm. Participating post offices include Cape May Court House, Villas, Ro Grande, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City,Ocean View, Ocean City and Marmora.
