Free Holiday Concert at Middle PAC

The Performing Arts Center of Middle Township will present a free Christmas concert featuring the John H. Walter Band on Sunday, December 15 at 3 pm. The 37 piece band, consisting of professional and amateur musicians from the area, will perform popular Christmas songs and Broadway selections. Three singers also will be featured, including Kathy Angela, James Doran and Nate Gable.

The band is named after its founder, who formed the band in 1996 and later passed away at age 83 while preparing to open a concert on the Cape May Gazebo bandstand. The band is currently led by Richard Ludwig, who has been its leader for the past seven years.

Ludwig is no newcomer to the area. For several years he was a music teacher at Middle Township High School; director of its marching band, which won a record-setting 15 Atlantic Coast championships, as well as managing director of the Performing Arts Center.

Located at 212 Bayberry Drive in Cape May Court House, one mile east of Exit 10 of the Garden State Parkway, the Performing Arts Center has free parking on the premises.
