Free Tax Help Available in Cape May County, NJ

The  Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is now available to taxpayers of any age in Cape May County, but not if your income exceeds $53,000 annually or if you have recently sold your home or have stocks and bonds.

Volunteers do prepare Schedule C-EZ (profit or loss) expenses under $10,000, but do not prepare Schedule D (capital gains or losses). Schedule E (rents) or forms 2106, 3903, 8608 or 8615.

The following are the volunteer tax help sites:

Lower Township Senior Center, 2612 Bayshore Road, Villas (609-886-5161).  Monday 9 am to 12 pm

Victoria Commons, 610 Townbank Road, North Cape May (609-886-3400). Saturday 10 am to 1 pm

North Wildwood Senior Center, 10th and Central Avenues, North Wildwood (609-522-7611) Wednesday 9 am to 12 pm

Howard Stainton Senior Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City (609-399-0055) Monday, Wednesday & Friday 1 pm to 3 pm

Christ Gospel Church, 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro (609-465-7729) Tuesday 9 am to 12 pm
