Mayor Donohue Schedules  Weekly Meetings with Township Employees

Middle Township Mayor Tim Donohue has announced a new program, "Meet with the Mayor Mondays," during which he will meet individually with department heads and employees to discuss any concerns or suggestions they may have regarding the operation of the township government. The new program will begin Monday, January 27, with the meetings held at Township Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

"We are partnered with a very talented and committed group of employees in Middle Township," Mayor Donohue said. "As we try to reduce spending while maintaining strong services, many folks have come to us with creative ideas to help meet this common goal. This is a great opportunity for me to meet with our employees and department heads to listen to their ideas and concerns." He added that "their input is key in making this initiative as successful as possible." 

The new mayor said he plans to give all township employees the opportunity for ongoing training and a clear path to career advancement. Donohue, who began his third year on the Middle Township Committee, assumed the position of mayor January 6.

Members of the public may also make suggestions to the Middle Township Committee by going to the township's website, www.middletownship.com, then click on a tab at the top of the website entitled "Ask A Question," and submit a comment or ask any questions relating to the services provided by township government. All suggestions or questions will be forwarded to Township Administrator Connie Mahon and all questions will be answered.
