The Middle Township Senior Center played host to more than 100 senior citizens December 18 at its annual Holiday Party, which included music, lunch and a general feeling of good fellowship as we move toward the Christmas season and a New Year.
The center at 23 Romney Place in Cape May Court House was decorated for the season and the center's director, Marilyn Miller, and her assistants Arline Angelone, Tom Fairman and Denise Bose, made everyone feel at home as they do so well throughout the year. It's no wonder that Marilyn was named the "Employee of the Month" in December in Middle Township .
The music, provided by the three-piece combo Nosey Josey, featuring Joannie and Mike Peteani and Victor Palumbo, put everyone in the mood with music from the "golden age" of the 40s, 50s and 60s — and, if anyone was watching, there was a lot of finger tapping that kept time with the music throughout the meal.
The party was the climax of a year in which all could feel welcome and at home in the Middle Township Senior Center. For those who have lost loved ones or are new to the community, the center provides a variety of services and programs that make a real difference in the lives of its members. So, to Marilyn and her able assistants, we thank you and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
