Renovation of Main Library in CMCH

For those who have wondered about the yellow chains in front of the Main Library on Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House, they are there because the steps leading to the library's entrance and the massive white pillars are scheduled for repairs — all part of a larger renovation project that will include repairs to the roof, the library's interior and a possible addition.

According to Deb Poillon, director of the library, an architect has been hired and plans for the renovations are now under consideration. The start dates have not yet been determined, but the project is expected to get underway this summer.  Meanwhile, the library is open as usual with a full schedule of programs and events.
